There is provided a method of delivering a benefit agent to a selected area of a fabric for exerting a predetermined activity, wherein the area is pre- treated with a multi-specific binding molecule which has a high binding affinity to said area through one specificity and is capable of binding to said benefit agent through another specificity, followed by contacting said pre-treated area with said benefit agent, to enhance said pre-determined activity to said area. Preferably, the binding molecule is an antibody or fragment thereof, or a fusion protein comprising a cellulose binding domain and a domain having a high binding affinity to another ligand which is directed to said benefit agent. The method is useful for stain removal, perfume delivery, and treating collars and cuffs for wear. Also provided is a device for use in this method, which is a dispenser capable of depositing a multi-specific binding molecule to a selected area of a fabric through a semi- solid wax or soap-stick, spray, aerosol, impregnated brush, gel, or foam, and the like.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant d'appliquer un améliorant sur une zone déterminée d'un tissu de façon à exercer une activité définie. En l'occurrence, la zone est préalablement traitée avec une molécule de liaison multi-spécifique qui présente une affinité de liaison élevée avec la zone considérée en raison d'une spécificité et qui est capable de se lier à l'améliorant considéré en raison d'une autre spécificité. Le procédé consiste ensuite à mettre en contact avec l'améliorant considéré la zone préalablement traitée, de façon à renforcer l'activité définie par rapport à la zone considérée. De préférence, la molécule de liaison est un anticorps ou l'un de ses fragments, ou une protéine de fusion comprenant un domaine de liaison avec la cellulose, et un autre domaine présente une haute affinité de liaison pour un autre ligand qui est dirigé vers l'améliorant considéré. Ce procédé convient à l'élimination des tâches, l'application de parfums, et le traitement des cols et poignets. L'invention concerne également un dispositif permettant la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé, en l'occurrence un distributeur capable de déposer sur une zone définie d'un tissu une molécule de liaison multi-spécifique au moyen d'un bâtonnet de cire semi-solide ou d'un pain de savon, d'un pulvérisateur, d'un aérosol, d'une brosse imprégnée, d'un gel, d'une mousse ou analogue.
