ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In horizontal continuous casting process, when level of molten steel within a tundish becomes lower than a prescribed level at portion near upper surface of a tundish nozzle at final stage of the casting process, the drawing of c.c. strand is stopped, and after lapse of a specified time the drawing of c.c. strand is performed again and the c.c. strand is broken at the feed nozzle.
