A method of converting a substance containing lignocellulose or a substance containing cellulose into a substance capable of converting into ethyl alcohol by yeast, characterized in that a mixture composed of 1 part by weight of the substance and 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of water is stirred in a vessel closed in terms of pressure at a temperature of 150 to 270°C under a condition that provides a high shearing force to grind the substance into an average maximum size of 1 to 20 pm thereby causing the degradation of the substance and converting at least 15% by weight of cellulose in the substance into a substance capable of converting into ethyl alcohol. By using this method, a saccharide for alcohol fermentation can be produced at low cost from lignocellulose or cellulose.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de conversion d'une substance contenant de la lignocellulose ou d'une substance contenant de la cellulose en une substance pouvant être convertie en alcool éthylique par la levure. Ledit procédé est caractérisé par le fait qu'un mélange composé de 1 partie en poids de la substance et de 0,5 à 5 parties en poids d'eau est agité dans un récipient fermé en termes de pression à une température de 150 à 270°C dans une condition qui assure une force de cisaillement élevée pour broyer la substance en une dimension maximale moyenne de 1 à 20 µm, permettant ainsi de provoquer la dégradation de la substance et de convertir au moins 15 % en poids de cellulose dans la substance en une substance pouvant être convertie en alcool éthylique. A l'aide de ce procédé, un saccharide pour la fermentation alcoolique peut être produit à faible coût à partir de la lignocellulose ou de la cellulose.
