A therapeutic method for enhancing an effect of treating tumor such as cancer wherein activated lymphocytes are administered within a definite period of time before or after the performance of photodynamic therapy (PDT). By administering activated lymphocytes in parallel to PDT, synergistic effects of the PDT and the administration of activated lymphocytes can be established. As a result, tumor such as gastric cancer can be remarkably efficiently reduced and destroyed. Moreover, an excellent therapeutic effect can be achieved on tumor showing no sensitivity to PDT alone. On the assumption of carrying out in parallel to PDT, the above therapeutic method of administering activated lymphocytes, which would not always impart cancer specificity, contributes to the destruction of tumor or improvement in the effect of preventing the enlargement thereof.
Cette invention concerne une méthode thérapeutique servant à renforcer l'effet d'un traitement d'une tumeur telle qu'un cancer, et consistant à administrer des lymphocytes activées dans un intervalle de temps défini avant ou après la mise en oeuvre d'une thérapie photodynamique (TPD). L'administration de lymphocytes activées parallèlement à la mise en oeuvre de la thérapie photodynamique permet aux effets de synergie de la thérapie TPD et de l'administration de lymphocytes activées d'être établis. De ce fait, une tumeur telle qu'un cancer gastrique peut être remarquablement et efficacement réduite et éliminée. De plus, un excellent effet thérapeutique peut être obtenu sur une tumeur présentant aucune sensibilité à la thérapie TPD seule. Selon l'hypothèse de cette utilisation parallèle à la thérapie TPD, la méthode thérapeutique susmentionnée consistant à administrer des lymphocytes activées, qui ne correspondaient pas toujours à la spécificité du cancer, contribue à la destruction de la tumeur ou à l'amélioration de l'effet visant à prévenir sa prolifération.
