METHOD OF TREATING WASTE SHEET FLOORING Abstract of the Disclosure Scrap sheet floor covering is recovered for reuse through the use of a Banbury mixer. The mixer grinds pre-diced scrap and abrades away asbestos filler backing material from the vinyl wear layer material. Binder scrap or virgin resin and plasticizer is added to convert the scrap sheet floor material to a raw material for use in manufacturing fiber filled vinyl tile.
