A method of treatment of waste resins and the like. The method comprises first reducing a feed of waste resinous material to a pre-determined size range. Thereafter the waste material is immersed within an acid bath. Following the acid the waste material is immersed in a basic solution so as to bring the ph of said material into an approximate neutral range.
