There is provided a method for controlling breathing gas flow of a ventilator for assisted or controlled ventilation of a patient as a function of a intra-thoracic airway pressure of the patient using a tracheal tube or naso-gastric tube. The intra-thoracic pressure is transmitted to a controller and the information detected is used to control a valve to vent gas from the inhalation tubing of the ventilator, thus triggering an inhalation cycle in the ventilator.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de commande d'un écoulement de gaz respiratoire d'un ventilateur pour une ventilation assistée ou commandée d'un patient en fonction d'une pression de voies aériennes intrathoracique du patient par utilisation d'un tube trachéal ou d'un tube naso-gastrique. La pression intrathoracique est transmise à un contrôleur et les informations détectées sont utilisées pour commander une vanne afin de ventiler un gaz à partir de la tubulure d'inhalation du ventilateur, déclenchant ainsi un cycle d'inhalation dans le ventilateur.
