A method for treating an immunopathological disorder having an etiology associated with production of a proinflammatory agent, in a subject by administering a therapeutically effective amount of radicicol to the subject is provided herein. Typically, the disorder is associated with production of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-.alpha.) and/or cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2).
L'invention concerne un procédé pour traiter des affections immunopathologiques provoquées par la sécérétion d'un agent pro-inflammatoire chez un sujet, et qui consiste à administrer à ce dernier une dose suffisante de radicicol pour avoir un effet thérapeutique. Généralement, l'affection est associée à la sécrétion du facteur nécrosant des tumeurs alpha (TNF-.alpha.) et/ou de la cyclo-oxygénase-2 (COX-2).
