The invention provides a method of inducing an immune response against a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in a mammal. The method comprises administering to the mammal an adenoviral vector composition comprising one or more adenoviral vectors encoding two or more different HIV antigens, the production of which induces an immune response against HIV in the mammal. The invention also provides an adenoviral vector composition comprising four adenoviral vectors encoding an HIV clade A Env protein, an HIV clade B Env protein, an HIV clade C Env protein, and a fusion protein comprising an HIV clade B Gag protein and Pol protein, respectively.

L~invention procure une méthode pour amener une réponse immunitaire contre un virus de l'immunodéficience humaine (VIH) chez un mammifère. La méthode comprend l~administration d~une composition de vecteur adénoviral au mammifère comprenant un ou des vecteurs adénoviraux codant deux ou plusieurs antigènes VIH, la production amenant une réponse immunitaire contre le VIH chez le mammifère. L~invention procure aussi une composition de vecteur adénoviral comprenant quatre vecteurs adénoviraux codant une protéine de gène enveloppe variante A VIH, une protéine de gène enveloppe variante B VIH, une protéine de gène enveloppe variante C VIH et une protéine hybride comprenant une protéine Gag variante B VIH et une protéine Pol respectivement.
