Soap bars are packaged in a single sheet of material which can be plastic, paper, paperboard or combinations of these materials in the form of laminates. The soap bars are packaged in high-speed machines at more than about 50/minute. The single sheet of material is die cut to form a main section with the top, bottom and longitudinal side panels and end flaps appended to each panel. In order to promote folding at the desired points the sheet of material is weakened by scoring, perforating or scoring at the fold points. This weakening can be done just prior to feeding to the wrapping machine or at the time of die cutting. The die cutting can be done at the time of feeding in to the wrapping machine. The packaged soap bar will have planar end surfaces so that the package can stand on end and can have corner vents to permit the escape of some moisture and some fragrance at the point of sale.
L'invention concerne l'emballage de barres de savons dans une feuille de matériau qui peut-être en plastique, en papier, en carton ou bien en une combinaison de ces matières sous forme de couches. Les barres de savon sont emballées dans des emballeuses dont le rendement dépasse environ 50 pièces à la minute. La feuille de matériau est découpée à l'emporte-pièce pour former une partie principale comportant une partie supérieure, un fond, des panneaux latéraux longitudinaux et des pattes terminales attachées à chaque panneau. Afin de faciliter le pliage en des points donnés, la feuille de matériau est affaiblie par encoche, perforation ou encoche aux points de pliage. Cet affaiblissement peut-être exécuté juste avant l'introduction de la feuille dans l'emballeuse ou au moment du découpage à l'emporte-pièce, lequel peut-être réalisé au moment de l'introduction de la feuille dans l'emballeuse. Les barres de savons ainsi emballées ont des surfaces terminales planes qui permettent au conditionnement de tenir debout sur une extrémité et elles peuvent avoir des orifices angulaires qui permettent à l'humidité de s'échapper et au parfum de se diffuser sur le point de vente.
