A solution for navigating UML diagrams (200) is proposed. For this purpose, a graphical interface is implemented for defining multiple navigation paths (NAVk) along corresponding sequences of diagrams (DIAiI-DIA55) . The definition of those navigation paths is stored into a dedicated file (without modifying the definition of the diagrams) . A home bar for invoking the navigation paths is then added to the graphical representation of the diagrams . Once a reader has selected a specific navigation path, its first diagram (DIAn; DIAi5) is retrieved and displayed. At the same time, a navigation bar for moving throughout the sequence is dynamically generated and added to the graphical representation of each diagram that is traversed.

La présente invention porte sur une solution permettant d'explorer des diagrammes UML (200). Pour ce faire, on utilise une interface graphique en vue de définir plusieurs chemins d'exploration (NAVk) sur les séquences correspondantes des diagrammes (DIAiI-DIA55) . La définition de ces chemins d'exploration est stockée dans un fichier spécialisé (sans modification de la définition des diagrammes). Une barre d'appel servant à appeler les chemins d'exploration est ensuite ajoutée à la représentation graphique des diagrammes. Lorsqu'un lecteur a sélectionné un chemin d'exploration spécifique, son premier diagramme (DIAn; DIAi5) est récupéré et affiché sur l'écran. Simultanément, une barre d'exploration servant à se déplacer dans la séquence est générée dynamiquement et ajoutée à la représentation graphique de chaque diagramme qui est traversé.
