Disclosed is a method system and associated modules and software components for providing image sensor based human machine interfacing ("I B H M I"). According to some embodiments of the present invention, output of an I B H M I may be converted into an output string or into a digital output command based on a first mapping table. An I B H M I mapping module may receive one or more out-puts from an I B H M I and may reference a first mapping table when generating a string or command for a first application running the same or another functionally associated com-puting platform. The mapping module may em-ulate a keyboard, a mouse, a joystick, a touch-pad or any other interface device compatible, suitable or congruous with the computing plat-form on which the first application is running.
L'invention concerne un procédé, un système, des modules associés et des composants logiciels s'utilisant pour fournir une interface homme-machine par un capteur d'image ("IBHMI"). Dans certains modes de réalisation de l'invention, une sortie d'une IBHMI peut être transformée en une chaîne de sortie ou en une commande de sortie numérique en fonction d'une première table de mappage. Un module de mappage IBHMI peut recevoir au moins une sortie provenant d'une IBHMI et peut référencer une première table de mappage au moment où est générée une chaîne ou une commande pour une première application l'exécutant ou une autre plate-forme informatique associée fonctionnellement. Le module de mappage peut émuler un clavier, une souris, une manette de commande, un pavé tactile ou tout autre dispositif d'interface compatible, adapté ou congruent à la plate-forme informatique sur laquelle la première application est exécutée.
