The invention is related to a method for collecting information on an audience of a broadcast media stream. The method comprising: broadcasting a media stream on at least one broadcast channel of the broadcast system, transmitting parallel information on at least one parallel channel which parallel information is associated and synchronized with the media stream of at least one broadcast channel, connecting the audience to the media system as pas-sive users or active users, the active users receiving the parallel information and the passive users not receiving the parallel information, collecting informa- tion on the audience connected to the media system, the information being on active users and/or passive users, processing the collected information in a predetermined way.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour rassembler des informations relatives à l'audience d'un flux média de diffusion. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes: diffusion d'un flux média sur au moins un canal de diffusion du système de diffusion; transmission d'informations parallèles sur au moins un canal parallèle, lesdites informations parallèles étant associées et synchronisées avec le flux média du canal/des canaux de diffusion; connexion de l'audience au système média en tant qu'utilisateurs passifs ou actifs, les utilisateurs actifs recevant les informations parallèles et les utilisateurs passifs ne recevant pas les informations parallèles; rassemblement d'informations relatives à l'audience connectée au système média, les informations étant relatives aux utilisateurs actifs et/ou aux utilisateurs passifs; traitement des informations rassemblées d'une manière prédéterminée.
