The application discloses a method, system, gateway and user device for receiving/sending multimedia message. According to the invention, the multimedia messaging service system comprising a wireless LAN, a multimedia messaging service user device and a multimedia messaging service gateway, the user device communicates with the gateway via the wireless LAN so as to send and receive multimedia messages. Furthermore, the gateway of the invention detect whether the user device is located within the wireless LAN. If yes, then multimedia messages are sent and received via the wireless LAN; and if not, then via conventional telecom network. The invention also discloses a corresponding gateway and a corresponding user device.
L'invention concerne un procédé, un système, une passerelle et un dispositif d'utilisateur permettant de recevoir/d'envoyer un message multimédia. Selon cette invention, ledit système de service de messagerie comprend un réseau local sans fil, un dispositif d'utilisateur de service de messagerie multimédia et une passerelle de service de messagerie multimédia, ledit dispositif d'utilisateur communiquant avec la passerelle via le réseau local sans fil de manière à envoyer et recevoir des messages multimédia. En outre, ladite passerelle de cette invention permet de détecter si le dispositif d'utilisateur est situé au sein du réseau local sans fil. Si tel est le cas, alors des messages multimédia sont envoyés et reçus via le réseau local sans fil, sinon, cela s'effectue via un réseau de télécommunication traditionnel. Ladite invention a aussi pour objet une passerelle et un dispositif d'utilisateur associés.
