PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION : La présente invention concerne une méthode pour injecter un fluide dans une formation géologique de manière à former une barrière (A, B, C, D) dudit fluide suivant une surface prédéterminée ayant une forme allongée, la direc- tion d'allongement (E, F) de cette surface, ou direction principale, étant distincte de la verticale. La présente invention est caractérisée en ce que l'on injecte ledit fluide à partir d'au moins une zone d'injection d'au moins un drain, traversant la formation, ladite zone d'injection étant inclinée par rapport à la verticale et appartenant sensiblement à la surface (A, B, C, D) de la barrière à former. La présente invention peut être utilisée pour la formation d'une barrière notamment dans un gisement pétro- lifère.
