A coating composition is prepared by polymerizing an addition polymer with a Tg of at least about 60~C in the presence of a particulate pigment having substantially primary aggregate particles to form encapsulated pigment particles, isolating and drying the encapsulated pigment product, and combining the dried encapsulated pigment product with a coating vehicle.
L'invention concerne une composition de revêtement préparée en polymérisant un polymère d'addition ayant une Tv supérieure ou égale à environ 60 °C en présence d'un pigment particulaire comprenant des particules d'agrégat sensiblement primaires, afin de former des particules de pigment encapsulées, en isolant et en séchant les pigments encapsulés et en mélangeant les pigments encapsulés avec un véhicule de revêtement.
