A method for consolidating unconsolidated mineral particles in a subterranean petroleum formation penetrated by a well in fluid communication with at least a portion of the formation, comprising: a) introducing an effective amount of preflush into the formation sufficient to invade substantially all of the pore spaces of a portion of the formation to be consolidated, said preflush comprising an ester, and an oligomer or monomer of the compound from which the resin to be used in the consolidation is obtained, an ester, and an effective amount of a coupling agent; b) introducing a sand consolidating fluid into substantially the same portion of the formation as the preflush fluid, said sand consolidating fluid containing a polymerizable compound, a diluent for the polymerizable compound and an acid catalyst capable of causing condensation polymerization of the compound at fluid injection temperatures; and c) allowing the injected fluid to remain in the formation for a period of time sufficient to accomplish at least partial polymerization of the monomer, forming a permeable consolidated mass around the wellbore.
Méthode de consolidation des particules minérales non consolidées dans une formation souterraine pétrolifère traversée par un puits en communication liquide avec au moins une partie de la formation consistant à a) introduire une quantité appropriée de bouchon de tête dans la formation de manière à envahir essentiellement tous les espaces poreux d'une partie de la formation à consolider, le bouchon de tête comprenant un ester, et un oligomère ou un monomère du composé à partir duquel la résine à utiliser dans les travaux de consolidation est obtenue; un ester, et une quantité appropriée d'un agent de couplage; b) introduire un fluide de consolidation des sables dans essentiellement la même partie de la formation que le fluide du bouchon de tête, le sable servant à consolider le fluide renfermant un composé polymérisable, un diluant du composé polymérisable et un catalyseur acide capable de provoquer la polymérisation par condensation du composé aux températures d'injection du fluide, et c) permettre au fluide injecté de demeurer dans la formation suffisamment longtemps pour qu'il y ait au moins polymérisation partielle du monomère qui formera une masse perméable consolidée autour du trou de forage.
