The present invention refers to a method for inducing neovascular formation and tissue regeneration in mammals. The claimed method is characterized by the administration of a nucleotide sequence encoding for the active site of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). The method induces cell mitosis, myocardiogenesis, arteriogenesis, vasculogenesis and Iymphangiogenesis in mammalian tissues. The method employs a plasmid vector encoding the nucleotide sequence. The administration is performed by intramyocardial route.

La présente invention concerne une méthode propre à favoriser une formation néovasculaire et une régénération tissulaire chez les mammifères. Cette méthode se caractérise par l'administration d'une séquence nucléotidique codant pour le site actif du facteur de croissance endothéliale (VEGF). Cette méthode induit une mitose cellulaire, une myocardiogénèse, un artériogénèse, une vasculogénèse et une lymphangiogénèse dans les tissus de mammifères. Elle fait appel à un vecteur plasmide codant pour la séquence nucléotidique. L'administration se fait par voie intramyocardique.
