Method to obtain vibrations in the walls of the crystalliser (11) in an ingot mould (10) by means of actuators, the ingot mould (10) including channel means (13) for the circulation of cooling liquid, the ingot mould (10) being associated with a conventional system of oscillation, there being induced on the crystalliser (13) vibrations of small amplitude and high frequency and acceleration obtained by means of exciting an actuator (16) comprising an element in magnetostrictive alloy (18) arranged in cooperation with at least one face of the crystalliser (11) itself, the element in magnetostrictive alloy (18) being associated with means (19) to generate an electromagnetic field. Device to obtain vibrations in the walls of the crystalliser (11) of an ingot mould (10) by means of actuators, the ingot mould (10) including at least a channel (13) for the circulation of cooling liquid defined between an intermediate wall (12) and the outer face of the crystalliser (11), the ingot mould (10) being associated with a conventional system of vertical oscillation, in cooperation with at least one wall of the crystalliser (11), there being included at least one actuator (16) comprising an element (18) made of magnetostrictive alloy associated with means (19) to generate a magnetic field.

Méthode permettant de faire vibrer les parois d'un cristallisateur (11) de lingotière (10) à l'aide d'actionneurs. La lingotière comprend des passages (13) pour la circulation d'un liquide refroidissant et est reliée à un système classique d'oscillation qui imprime au cristallisateur (13) des vibrations de faible amplitude et de haute fréquence. Les vibrations sont obtenues grâce à un actionneur (16) constitué d'un élément dans un alliage magnétostrictif (18) relié à au moins une des parois du cristallisateur (11). L'élément dans l'alliage magnétostrictif (18) est raccordé à un dispositif (19) permettant de générer un champ électromagnétique. La présente invention fait également état d'un dispositif permettant d'obtenir des vibrations dans les parois d'un cristallisateur (11) de lingotière (10) à l'aide d'actionneurs. La lingotière comprend au moins un passage (13) pour la circulation d'un liquide refroidissant entre une paroi intermédiaire (12) et la surface externe du cristallisateur (11). La lingotière est reliée à un système classique d'oscillation verticale raccordé à au moins une paroi du cristallisateur (11). Le système d'oscillation comprend au moins un actionneur (16) constitué d'un élément (18) dans un aliage magnétostrictif rattaché à un dispositif (19) permettant de générer un champ électromagnétique.
