A flexible support (10) for a thin electrically conductive electrode (11) having an edge (16) around its major surfaces (13 and 14). One or more circumferential frames (15) on the support capture the edge (12) of the electrode (11) by an under cut (16) on the frame (15). A membrane (17) is integral with the one or more frames (15) to extend and be coextensive with each. The membrane (17) is thin to allow expansion in deference to each frame (15). The one or more frames (15) and the membrane (17) form a balloon (17) with interior and exterior surfaces (20 and 21) with an inflation port (22) therethrough. A method of making the support (10) for the electrode (11) has a mold cavity (30) to shape the support (10 on an unpolished surface finish to enhance release of the support (10).

L'invention concerne un support (10) flexible destiné à une électrode (11) électroconductrice mince, lequel support présente un bord (16) autour de ses surfaces principales (13, 14). Un ou plusieurs cadres (15) circonférentiels disposés sur le support bloquent le bord (12) de l'électrode (11) par une contre-dépouille (16) pratiquée sur le cadre (15).
