The methods, devices, and systems are provided for performing endovascular repair of atrioventricular and other cardiac valves in the heart. Regurgitation of an atrioventricular valve, particularly a mitral valve, can be repaired by modifying a tissue structure selected from the valve leaflets, the valve annulus, the valve chordae, and the papillary muscles. These structures may be modified by suturing, stapling, snaring, or shortening, using interventional tools (30, 36, 56) which are introduced to a heart chamber. Preferably, the tissue structures will be temporarily modified prior to permanent modification. For example, opposed valve leaflets may be temporarily grasped and held into position prior to permanent attachment.

L'invention concerne des procédés, dispositifs et systèmes d'exécution d'une réparation endovasculaire d'une valvule auriculo-ventriculaire et d'autres valvules cardiaques, dans le coeur. Il est possible de réparer la régurgitation d'une valvule auriculo-ventriculaire, notamment d'une valvule mitrale, en modifiant une structure tissulaire choisie à partir des valves, anneau et petits cordages d'une valvule, et des piliers du coeur. On peut modifier ces structures au moyen de sutures, agrafes, anses, ou raccourcissements, à l'aide d'outils introduits dans la cavité cardiaque. De préférence, on modifie temporairement ces structures tissulaires, avant de procéder à leur modification permanente. Par exemple on peut saisir et maintenir en position temporaire des valves de valvules, avant de les fixer de façon permanente.
