The present invention related to an apparatus for implanting an ocular implant in a patient's eye. The apparatus comprises a cannula having a lumen extending therethrough configured to receive an ocular implant and a distal end and means located on or in the cannula away from the distal end to minimize inadvertent release of the implant from the cannula.
