Laser desorption/ionization tandem mass spectrometer instruments that include source, probe (16), bulk head (42), proble holder (40), and chambers (44, 20) are presented, as are analytical methods that employ such instruments to achieve increased sensitivity and ion yield. Also presented are laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry methods that improve sensitivity and relative ion yield by combining affinity capture probes with matrices having low melting point energy absorbing molecules combined with alkali metal scavengers.
L'invention concerne des instruments de spectrométrie de masse en tandem à ionisation/désorption laser comprenant une source, une sonde (16), une tête de four (42), un porte sonde (40) et des enceintes (44, 20), ainsi que des méthodes analytiques utilisant ces instruments afin d'obtenir une sensibilité et un rendement ionique améliorés. Elle concerne aussi des procédés de spectrométrie de masse à ionisation/désorption laser améliorant la sensibilité et le rendement ionique relatif par combinaison de sondes de capture d'affinité avec des matrices contenant des molécules absorbantes à faible énergie de fusion combinées à des fixateurs de métal alcalin.
