Methods and apparatus for metering the presentation of computer-based media presentation are disclosed. An example disclosed method performed by a computer that is configured to execute an operating system and a media presentation program comprises modifying the media presentation program to re- direct a function call made to the operating system by the media presentation program, and processing the re-directed function call to determine media presentation information.

L'invention concerne des procédés et un dispositif permettant de compter les présentations de contenus multimédia sur des ordinateurs. Dans un exemple de réalisation, ce procédé est mis en oeuvre par un ordinateur configuré pour l'exécution d'un système d'exploitation et d'un programme de présentation multimédia, et consiste à modifier le programme de présentation multimédia pour réacheminer un appel de fonction adressé au système d'exploitation par le programme de présentation de contenus multimédia, et à traiter cet appel de fonction réacheminé pour analyser les données de présentation d'un contenu multimédia.
