This invention is an apparatus (10), kits, methods of use/delivery of gases, and/or medicaments for treating common ailments; for example headaches, rhinitis, asthma, and nervous disorders. The apparatus (10) comprises dispensers (12) for carbon dioxide, and other therapeutic gases. The methods comprise delivery of small volumes of gases in a manner that infuses the gas into a body region to bathe the mucous membranes with the gas.

Le dispositif comporte des distributeurs de dioxyde de carbone et d'autres gaz thérapeutiques. Les procédés comportent l'administration de faibles volumes de ces gaz à des patients, de manière à faire pénétrer le gaz dans une région du corps pour qu'il baigne les membranes muqueuses. Le fait d'exposer des patients, même sur une très courte durée, à de faibles volumes et fortes concentrations de ces gaz peut permettre de soulager de manière importante les symptômes de ces patients.
