A method and apparatus for providing input voltages to power amplifiers (PAs) is disclosed. For one embodiment, a multiple-mode device having a corresponding PA for each mode is provided with a voltage adjustment mechanism that adjusts the output voltage from the switcher based upon the PA that is currently in use. The voltage adjustment mechanism may be controlled by firmware or software of a digital processing system (DPS) of the host device. The voltage adjustment mechanism may include a digital potentiometer controlled by the host DPS.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de fourniture de tensions d'entrée à des amplificateurs de puissance (PA). Dans un mode de réalisation, un dispositif multimode ayant un PA correspondant pour chaque mode est pourvu d'un mécanisme d'adaptation de tension qui adapte la tension de sortie du commutateur sur la base du PA en cours d'utilisation. Le mécanisme d'adaptation de tension peut être contrôlé par un micrologiciel ou par un logiciel d'un système de traitement numérique (DPS) du dispositif hôte. Ce mécanisme d'adaptation de tension peut comporter un potentiomètre numérique contrôlé par le DPS hôte.
