A system of downhole communication and control is provided in methods and associated apparatus for data retrieval, monitoring and tool actuation. In a described embodiment, an item of equipment (16) installed in a tubular string (14) has a first communication device associated therewith. A tool (12) conveyed into the tubular string has a second communication device therein. Communication is established between the first and second devices. Such communication may be utilized to control operation of the tool (12), retrieve status information regarding the item of equipment, supply power to the first device and/or identify the item of equipment (16) to the tool (12).
L'invention concerne un système de communication et de commande utilisé au fond d'un puits dans des procédés et dans un appareil associé de récupération de données, de surveillance et de commande d'outils. Dans un mode de réalisation, un article d'équipement installé dans un train de tubage est associé à un premier dispositif de communication, et un outil transporté dans le train de tubage renferme un second dispositif de communication. Une communication est établie entre le premier et le second dispositif, et peut être utilisée pour commander le fonctionnement de l'outil, récupérer des données d'état concernant l'article d'équipement, alimenter le premier dispositif, et/ou identifier l'article d'équipement pour l'outil.
