Therapies are for treating patients in need of nitroglycerin therapy and allow increased dosage, postponement of tolerance and preconditioning, without exacerbating or causing hypotension. Methods for determining cross-tolerance, nitroglycerin effectiveness and dose are also disclosed. Composition for intravenous administration of nitroglycerin does not contain ethanol or contains less ethanol than conventional conpositions.

L'invention concerne des thérapies destinées à traiter des patients nécessitant un traitement à la nitroglycérine et permettant d'augmenter le dosage, de retarder la tolérance et de réaliser un préconditionnement sans accentuer ou provoquer une hypotension. L'invention concerne également des méthodes destinées à déterminer une tolérance croisée, l'efficacité de la nitroglycérine et une dose. Cette composition destinée à une administration de nitroglycérine par voie intraveineuse ne contient pas d'éthanol ou contient moins d'éthanol que les compositions classiques.
