The inventors have discovered a collection of proteinaceous biomarkers (~AD~ biomarkers) which can be measured in peripheral biological fluid samples to aid in the diagnosis of neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). The invention further provides methods of identifying candidate agents for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease by testing prospective agents for activity in modulating AD biomarker levels.
La présente invention concerne la découverte d~une collection de biomarqueurs protéinés (« biomarqueurs AD ») que l~on peut mesurer dans des échantillons de fluides biologiques périphériques pour aider au diagnostic de maladies neurodégénératives, en particulier la maladie d~Alzheimer et la déficience cognitive légère (DCL). L~invention propose en outre des procédés pour identifier des agents candidats pour le traitement de la maladie d~Alzheimer en soumettant à essai des agents potentiels en ce qui concerne l~activité de modulation des taux de biomarqueurs AD.
