Methods and composition suitable for diagnostic tests utilizing the isolated genes and proteins to give highly specific diagnostic assays to Salmonella, S. enteritidis, S. dublin, S. gallinarum, and/or euteropathogenic bacteria of the family Enterobacteriaceae.
