Methods are provided for increasing the temperature of a section of conduit used for the production or transmission of hydrocarbon. According to one aspect, the method includes the steps of: (a) forming a treatment fluid comprising: (i) a carrier fluid; and (ii) a first reactant and a second reactant; and (b) introducing the treatment fluid into a section of conduit used for the production or transmission of hydrocarbon. The first reactant and second reactant are selected for being capable of reacting together in an exothermic chemical reaction; and the first and second reactant are in at least sufficient concentrations in the carrier fluid to generate a theoretical heat of reaction of at least 1,000 kJ/liter of the treatment fluid. At least some of at least one of the first reactant and the second reactant is suspended in the carrier fluid in a solid form that is adapted to help control the release of the reactant into the carrier fluid. In another embodiment a catalyst may be provided which is suspended in the carrier fluid.
La présente invention concerne des procédés permettant d'augmenter la température d'un segment de conduit utilisé pour la production ou le transfert d'hydrocarbure. Pour un aspect de l'invention, le procédé consiste (a) à former un fluide de traitement comprenant (i) un fluide porteur et (ii) deux réactants et (b) à introduire le fluide de traitement dans un segment de conduit de production ou de transfert d'hydrocarbure. Les deux réactants sont sélectionnés pour être capables de produire entre eux une réaction chimique exothermique, les deux réactants étant présents dans le fluide porteur à des concentrations suffisant au moins pour produire une chaleur de réaction théorique d'au moins 1.000 kJ/l de fluide de traitement. Une partie au moins de l'un au moins des deux réactants est en suspension dans le fluide porteur sous une forme solide adaptée pour aider à limiter le dégagement du réactant dans le fluide porteur. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, on peut disposer d'un catalyseur en suspension dans le fluide porteur.
