Methods for administering medical gases are disclosed including providing the medical gas in compressed gas cartridges (210) containing an amount of the medical gas preferably corresponding substantially to a unit dose of the medical gas and providing a patient with means to access the medical gas from the gas cartridge upon need therefor. Apparatus for administering medical gases is also disclosed including a housing (300), a cassette (200) associated with the housing containing at least one compressed gas cartridge (210) preferably containing at least an amount of the medical gas substantially as required for a single dose and a patient supply interface to provide the medical gas to the patient.
L'invention concerne des procédés de gestion de gaz médicaux. Ce procédé consiste à introduire le gaz médical dans des cartouches de gaz comprimé (210) dont la contenance correspond, de préférence, sensiblement à une dose unitaire de gaz médical et à donner au patient un moyen d'accès au gaz médical de la cartouche de gaz selon ses besoins. L'invention concerne également un appareil de gestion des gaz médicaux comprenant un boîtier (300), une cassette (200) associée au boîtier contenant au moins une cartouche de gaz comprimé (210) contenant, de préférence, au moins une certaine quantité de gaz médical correspondant sensiblement à la quantité requise pour une dose unique et une interface d'alimentation patient permettant d'administrer le gaz médical au patient.
