The invention relates to methods and devices for protecting an article against theft. Once a protection element is in the on-position (100), a selection signal is transmitted from an emitter to a receiver provided in the protection element, in order to associate the protection element with the emitter and to shift said protection element into a connection mode (110). The receiver is then deactivated (111) in the connection mode (110). The deactivation (111) of the receiver reduces the energy consumption of the protection element, and prevents the protection element from unintentionally receiving other selection signals. Once the protection element has been shifted (112) into an alarm state (120), for example, due to an attempted theft, the receiver thereof is reactivated, in order to reauthorize the reception of a selection signal. The alarm state (120) can be terminated (123) by one such selection signal.
La présente invention concerne des procédés et des dispositifs permettant de protéger un article contre le vol. Selon l'invention, après enclenchement (100) d'un élément de protection, un signal de sélection est transmis par un émetteur à un récepteur se trouvant dans ledit élément de protection de sorte que l'élément de protection soit associé à cet émetteur et qu'il soit placé en mode de connexion (110). Le récepteur est ensuite désactivé (111) dans le mode de connexion (110). La désactivation (111) du récepteur permet de réduire la consommation d'énergie de l'élément de protection et, par ailleurs, d'empêcher que ledit élément de protection ne reçoive inopinément d'autres signaux de sélection. Lorsque l'élément de protection a été placé (112) dans un état d'alarme (120), par exemple en raison d'une tentative de vol, son récepteur est réactivé de façon à permettre de nouveau la réception d'un signal de sélection. Ce signal de sélection permet alors de mettre fin (123) à l'état d'alarme (120).
