The present invention relates to methods for producing high levels of alcohol during fermentation of plant material, and to the high alcohol beer produced. The method can include fractionating the plant material. The present invention also relates to methods for producing high protein distiller~s dried grain from fermentation of plant material, and to the high protein distiller~s dried grain produced. The method can include drying a co-product by ring drying, flash drying, or fluid bed drying. The present invention further relates to reduced stack emissions from drying distillation products from the production of ethanol.
L'invention concerne des procédés servant à produire des niveaux élevés d'alcool pendant la fermentation d'un matériau végétal, ainsi que la bière obtenue possédant un degré élevé d'alcool. Ce procédé peut consister à fractionner le matériau végétal. Elle concerne également des procédés servant à produire un grain séché de distillation possédant une teneur élevée en protéines à partir de la fermentation dudit matériau végétal et le grain séché de distillation obtenu. Ce procédé peut consister à sécher un co-produit par séchage au rouleau, séchage éclair ou séchage sur lit fluidisé. Elle concerne également la limitation des émissions polluantes provenant du séchage des produits de distillation servant à produire de l'éthanol.
