A method for routing input/out-put (10) data in a telecommunication system in-cluding a network node having a plurality of first integrated circuit (IC) cards, a plurality of second 1C cards and a switching fabric, each second IC card connected to a corresponding first IC card in a respective slot of the network node xs de-scribed. The method involves receiving the IO data at an external port of any of the plurality of first or second 1C cards. When packets of the IO data are received at an external port of a given second IC card, the given second IC card per-forms a packet classification of the packets to at least in part determine a destination for the pack-ets. A further step of the method includes deliv-ering the packets to a first or second IC card des-tination according to the packet classification performed by the given second IC card via a log-ical network layer existing on the first and sec-ond IC cards and the switching fabric. A particu-lar implementation includes use in an Advanced Telecommunication Computing Architecture (ATCA) system.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de routage de données d'entrée/sortie (10) dans un système de télécommunications comprenant un nud de réseau pourvu d'une pluralité de premières cartes de circuits intégrés (CI), d'une pluralité de secondes cartes CI et d'une matrice de commutation, chacune des secondes cartes CI étant connectée à une première carte CI correspondante dans une fente respective du nud de réseau. Le procédé consiste à recevoir les données E/S à un port externe de l'une quelconque de la pluralité de premières ou de secondes cartes CI. Lorsque des paquets des données E/S sont reçus à un port externe d'une seconde carte CI donnée, la seconde carte CI donnée exécute une classification de paquets des paquets afin de déterminer, au moins en partie, une destination pour les paquets. Une autre étape du procédé consiste à délivrer les paquets à la destination d'une première ou d'une seconde carte CI conformément à la classification de paquets exécutée par la seconde carte CI donnée, via une couche réseau logique existante sur les premières et secondes cartes CI et la matrice de commutation. Dans une mise en uvre particulière, l'invention est utilisée dans un système ATCA (Advanced Telecommunication Computing).
