This invention relates to the management of insurance claims, the processing steps broadly including the steps of obtaining information on a claim, including items of property relating to said claim, such information forming a claim datafile; selecting items of property being claimed by consulting a property register configured and arranged to store items of property owned by the person or entity making a claim; obtaining information to establish a replacement value for each of the items of property relating to the claim; and selecting a method of settlement of the claim and calculating the replacement values for each of the items of property to determine a settlement value.
La présente invention concerne le traitement des déclarations de sinistre qui comprend globalement les étapes de traitement suivantes: l'obtention d'informations relatives à une déclaration, comprenant des biens assurés se rapportant à ladite déclaration, ces informations formant un fichier de données de déclaration; la sélection des biens assurés dits concernés suite à la consultation d'un registre de biens configuré et prévu pour stocker des éléments assurés possédés par la personne ou l'entité effectuant une déclaration; l'obtention d'informations en vue d'établir une valeur de remplacement pour chacun des éléments assurés se rapportant à la déclaration; et la sélection d'un procédé de liquidation du sinistre et de calcul des valeurs de remplacement pour chacun des éléments assurés pour déterminer une valeur de liquidation.
