Methods and systems for treating organic waste, which include determining the ignition threshold temperature for the organic waste and at least one mineral by-product, selecting a ratio of organic waste:mineral by-product(s) based on the determined ignition threshold temperature, combining the mineral by- product(s) with the organic waste, so as to arrive at a mixture having the selected ratio of organic waste:mineral by product(s); and drying the mixture of organic waste and mineral by-product(s) to produce organic waste solids. The treatment methods of the present invention are methods of stabilizing the treated organic waste so as to control the tendency of the organic waste to ignite. Also provided are organic waste solids formed by the methods of the present invention.
La présente invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes pour traiter des déchets organiques. Ce procédé consiste à déterminer la température seuil d'inflammation pour un mélange constitué de déchets organiques et d'au moins un sous-produit minéral, à sélectionner un rapport de déchets organiques sur sous-produit(s) minéral/aux, sur la base de la température seuil d'inflammation déterminée, à combiner le(s) sous-produit(s) minéral/aux aux déchets organiques, de façon à obtenir un mélange présentant le rapport sélectionné de déchets organiques sur sous-produit(s) minéral/aux, puis à sécher le mélange de déchets organiques et du/des sous-produit(s) minéral/aux, afin de produire des déchets organiques solides. Les procédés de traitement selon cette invention sont des procédés pour stabiliser les déchets organiques traités, afin de commander la sensibilité à l'inflammation des déchets organiques. La présente invention concerne également des déchets organiques solides produits selon les procédés de la présente invention.
