Method of carrying out the cryogenic therapy, particularly on the whole body of one or several patient/s, characterized in that said patient/s are introduced along a transport route (1) through the upper part (2) of a chamber (3) and then through the interior (4) of said chamber (3), wherein said chamber (3) has thermally insulated walls (5) and a space containing a deposited low temperature cooling agent. The patient/s are then led to a cryogenic treatment cabin (6) having a very low temperature from -60.c to - 160.c with exposure times ranging from 0.5 to 5 minutes, whereafter said patient/s leave said treatment cabin (6) through the interior (4) of said chamber (3) and further along said transport route (1) outside chamber (3) to an area at room temperature. The corresponding device for carrying out cryogenic therapy is characterized by a chamber (3) with an open upper part (2) and by a separated cryogenic treatment cabine (6) inside said chamber (3) said cabine (6) being cooled in its whole volume by a colling agent in the form of liquid air sprayed by nozzles (7). Alternatively, said device for carrying out cryogenic therapy has a cabine (6) cooled by a cooling agent in the form of liquid carbon dioxide or liquid nitrogen sprayed by nozzles, said chamber (3) having an air intake device (8) in its upper part for providing breathing air to said patient/s. Optionally, said device has a chamber (3) having an upper part (2) with a movable cover (9) which is preferably transparent, said chamber (3) comprising illumination means (10), the cryogenic treatment cabine (6) having an emergency door (11) situated on one side of said of said chamber (3), said door enabling access for disabled people on wheelchairs, said chamber (3), said door enabling access for disabled people on wheelchairs, said chamber (3), also having measuring and control means for temperature and oxygen concentration (12) in order to protect said patient/s.
Procédé permettant de réaliser une thérapie cryogénique, notamment sur l'ensemble du corps d'un ou de plusieurs patients. Ce procédé consiste à amener le ou les patients le long d'une voie d'acheminement (1) par la partie supérieure (2) d'une chambre (3), puis par l'intérieur (4) de la chambre (3). Cette chambre (3) possède des parois isolées thermiquement et un espace dans lequel a été déposé un agent de refroidissement à basse température. Le ou les patients sont ensuite conduits vers une cabine (6) de traitement cryogénique ayant une très basse température, comprise entre 60 DEG C et 160 DEG C, les temps d'exposition allant de 0,5 à 5 minutes. Ce ou ces patients quittent ensuite la cabine (6) de traitement par l'intérieur (4) de la chambre (3), empruntant la voie d'acheminement (1) à l'extérieur de la chambre (3) pour parvenir à une zone à température ambiante. Le dispositif correspondant pour réaliser la thérapie cryogénique se caractérise par une chambre (3) pourvue d'une ouverture supérieure (2) et par une cabine (6) de traitement séparée se trouvant à l'intérieur de la chambre (3), cette cabine (6) étant refroidie entièrement par un agent de refroidissement se présentant sous forme d'air liquide pulvérisé par des buses (7). En variante, le dispositif pour réaliser la thérapie cryogénique possède une cabine (6) refroidie par un agent de refroidissement se présentant sous forme de dioxyde de carbone liquide ou d'azote liquide pulvérisé par des buses (7). La chambre (3) possède un dispositif (8) d'amenée d'air dans sa partie supérieure de façon à envoyer au(x) patient(s) l'air respiratoire . Le dispositif peut éventuellement comporter une chambre (3) dont la partie supérieure est pourvue d'un couvercle amovible (9), de préférence transparent, cette chambre (3) comprenant un dispositif d'éclairage (10). La cabine (6) de traitement cryogénique possède une porte de secours (11) située sur un côté de la chambre (3) et permettant l'accès aux personnes invalides en fauteuil roulant. La chambre (3) possède également un dispositif de mesure et de contrôle de la température et de la teneur en oxygène (12) afin de protéger le ou les patients.
