Methods for Fabrication of CuInSe2 Thin Films and Solar Cells ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a method for depositing a thin film of chalcopyrite semiconductor compound on a conducting substrate. Using this method, polycrystalline CuInSe2 thin films with uniform concentration distribution have been deposited on conducting substrates like Mo, Mo-coated glass and ITO-coated glass substrates. The film composition and concentrational depth profile are controlled by the depositing parameters and electro- lyte composition. This invention further relates to a method for fabricating a photovoltaic solar cell using the electrodeposited CuInSe2 thin film. (Nov. 26, 1991)
