ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for the manufacture of an methylolated cyclohexanecarboguanamine by subjecting cyclohexanecarboguanamine to the methylolating reaction with a formaldehyde while keeping the amount of an alcohol present during the process of methylolating reaction below 20% by weight based on the amount of said formaldehyde and keeping the pH value of the reaction system in the range of 8 to 13 and the temperature thereof in the range of 50° to 80°C between the time said reaction is started and the time said reaction is completed.
