A method of manufacturing a rapid prototype overmold for locating a dental implant analog in a modified stone model for use in creating a tooth prosthesis is provided. An impression of a mouth having a first installation site that has a dental implant and a gingiva healing abutment with at least one informational marker installed is taken. A stone model based on the impression is prepared. The model is scanned. A three- dimensional computer model of the installation site on a CAD program using data from the scan is created. The-at least one informational marker is determined to gather information about the location of the dental implant. Abutment dimensional information based on the three-dimensional model and the at least one informational marker is developed. Rapid prototype overmold dimensional information based on the three- dimensional model is developed. The rapid prototype overmold adapted to fit over the modified stone model is fabricated.
La présente invention a trait à un procédé de fabrication d'un moule de surmoulage de prototype rapide pour la localisation d'un analogue d'implant dentaire dans un modèle en plâtre pierre modifié destiné à la création d'une prothèse dentaire. Une empreinte d'une bouche présentant un premier site d'installation ayant un implant dentaire et un pilier gingival de cicatrisation avec au moins un marqueur informationnel est prise. Un modèle en plâtre pierre basé sur l'empreinte est préparé. Le modèle est soumis à une lecture optique. Un modèle de calcul en trois dimensions du site d'installation sur un programme de conception assistée par ordinateur à l'aide de données dérivées de la lecture optique est créé. Ledit au moins un marqueur informationnel est déterminé en vue de recueillir une information concernant la localisation de l'implant dentaire. Une information dimensionnelle de pilier basée sur l'image tridimensionnelle et ledit au moins un marqueur informationnel est développée. Une information dimensionnelle de prototype rapide de moule de surmoulage basée sur l'image tridimensionnelle est développée. Le prototype rapide de moule de surmoulage apte à s'adapter sur le modèle en plâtre pierre modifié est fabriqué.
