The present invention relates to methods for treating a subject predisposed to an autoimmune disease with extracorporeal photopheresis or an effective amount of apoptotic cells before the clinical manifestation of a symptom associated with the autoimmune disease. The present invention alsorelates to methods for treating a subject predisposed to an atopic disease with extracorporeal photopheresis or an effective amount of apoptotic cells before the clinical manitfestation of a symptom associated with the atopic disease. The present invention further relates to methods for treating a transplant donor and/or a transplant recipient, or an implant recipient with extracorporeal photopheresis or an effective amount of apoptotic cells prior to the transplant or implantation procedure.
L'invention concerne des méthodes permettant de traiter un sujet prédisposé à une maladie auto-immune au moyen d'une photophérèse extracorporelle ou d'une quantité efficace de cellules apoptotiques avant la manifestation clinique d'un symptôme associé à cette maladie auto-immune. L'invention concerne également des méthodes permettant de traiter un sujet prédisposé à une maladie atopique au moyen d'une photophérèse extracorporelle ou d'une quantité efficace de cellules apoptotiques avant la manifestation clinique d'un symptôme associé à cette maladie atopique. L'invention concerne enfin des méthodes permettant de traiter un donneur d'organe et/ou un receveur d'organe, ou un receveur d'implant au moyen d'une photophérèse extracorporelle ou d'une quantité efficace de cellules apoptotiques avant la procédure de transplantation ou d'implantation.
