A TPO-containing composition comprising a TPO protein having a sugar-chain moiety and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable additive selected from the group consisting of proteins, cellulose derivatives, surface active agents and polyvinyl alcohol; and a method of preventing TPO from being adsorbed on a container wall by using the above composition containing such additives, thereby preventing the titer-reduction caused by the adsorption.
