The present invention provide a method for the prevention and treatment of a neurodegenerative disease including Alzheimer's Disease, Huntington's Disease, and Parkinson's Disease, using a grape seed extract or one or more compounds derived therefrom. In particular, the present invention provides a method to treat a patient diagnosed with, or at the risk of developing, a neurode-generative disease by administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising a grape seed extract or one or more compounds derived therefrom to the patient in a therapeutic amount to reduce the accumulation, aggregation or deposition of amyloid beta or its oligomers, and/or to reduce the misfolding, accumulation and/or aggregation of tau proteins or other proteins.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la prévention et le traitement dune maladie neurodégénérative comprenant la maladie d'Alzheimer, la maladie de Huntington et la maladie de Parkinson, à laide dun extrait de pépin de raisin ou dun ou plusieurs composés dérivés de celui-ci. En particulier, la présente invention propose un procédé pour traiter un patient diagnostiquer avec, ou comportant le risque de développer une maladie neurodégénérative, en administrant une composition pharmaceutique comprenant un extrait de pépin de raisin ou un ou plusieurs composés dérivés de celui-ci au patient en une quantité thérapeutique pour réduire laccumulation, lagrégation ou le dépôt de bêta amyloïde ou des oligomères, et/ou pour réduire le mauvais repliement, laccumulation et/ou lagrégation de protéines tau ou dautres protéines.
