The invention relates to methods for producing cesium hydroxide solutions during which: cesium-containing ore is disintegrated with sulfuric acid while forming a cesium aluminum sulfate hydrate (cesium alum), which is poorly soluble at low temperatures; the formed cesium alum is separated away in the form of a solution from the solid ore residues; the aluminum is precipitated out of the cesium alum solution while forming a cesium sulfate solution; the formed cesium sulfate solution is reacted with barium hydroxide or strontium hydroxide while forming a cesium hydroxide solution, and; the formed cesium hydroxide solution is concentrated and purified.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire des solutions d'hydroxyde de césium, selon lequel un minerai contenant du césium est décomposé au moyen d'acide sulfurique, formant ainsi un sulfate de césium et d'aluminium hydraté (alun de césium) peu soluble au froid, puis l'alun de césium ainsi obtenu est séparé des résidus solides du minerai pour former une solution, l'aluminium est précipité dans la solution d'alun de césium pour former une solution de sulfate de césium, laquelle est mise à réagir avec de l'hydroxyde de baryum ou de l'hydroxyde de strontium pour former une solution d'hydroxyde de césium, qui est alors concentrée et purifiée.
