METHODS FOR PRODUCING LOW FINES CONTENT PULP ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for producing low fines content pulp having successive treatment stages in each of which compressive and sharing forces are applied to the cellulosic fiber while simultaneously one or more chemicals are added. Gradual breakdown of the fibers is achieved with resulting low fines production whereby the pulp may be used for tissue, fluff and towel products.
