The invention relates to methods, compositions and kits for improving the raising of pre-adult anadromous fish, or preparing pre-adult anadromous fish for transfer to seawater. The methods involve adding at least one Polyvalent Cation Sensing Receptor (PVCR) modulator to the freshwater in an amount sufficient to increase expression and/or sensitivity of at least one PVCR; and adding feed for fish consumption to the freshwater, wherein the feed comprises an amount of NaC1 sufficient to contribute to a significantly increased level of the PVCR modulator in serum of the pre-adult anadromous fish.

L'invention concerne des méthodes, des compositions et des kits destinés à améliorer l'élevage de poissons anadromes pré-adultes ou à préparer ces poissons à un transfert en mer. Les procédés consistent à ajouter au moins un modulateur du récepteur de détection de cations polyvalents (PVCR) à l'eau douce en quantités suffisantes pour augmenter l'expression et/ou la sensibilité d'au moins un PVCR, et à ajouter à l'eau douce des aliments destinés aux poissons, ces aliments renfermant une quantité de NaCl suffisante pour augmenter fortement le niveau du modulateur de PVCR dans le sérum des poissons anadromes pré-adultes.
