The present invention provides methods to reduce or eliminate a-mannosidase resistant glycans on glycoproteins in yeast. The reduction or elimination of a- mannosidase resistant glycans on glycoproteins results from the disruption of the newly isolated P. pastoris AMR 2 gene encoding .beta.1,2- mannosyltransferase. The present invention also discloses novel genes, polypeptides, antibodies, vectors and host cells relating to a-mannosidase resistance on glycans.
L'invention concerne des méthodes servant à diminuer ou à éliminer des glycanes résistant à .alpha.-mannosidase sur des glycoprotéines de levure. La diminution et l'élimination de ces glycanes résistant à .alpha.-mannosidase sur des glycoprotéines provient de la disruption du gène de P.pastoris AMR2 récemment isolé codant .beta.1,2-mannosyltransférase. Elle concerne également de nouveaux gènes, polypeptides, anticorps, vecteurs et cellules hôtes associés à la résistance d'.alpha.-mannosidase sur des glycanes.
