A method of protecting an upper body and a lower body of a patient from high venous pressures comprising implanting a first stented valve (10A) at the superior vena cava (55) and a second stented valve (10B) at the inferior vena cava (56), wherein the first and second valves are configured to permit blood flow towards a right atrium (52) of the patient and prevent blood flow in an opposite direction.

L'invention concerne une méthode servant à protéger des corps supérieur et inférieur d'un patient de pressions veineuses élevées. Cette méthode consiste à implanter une première valvule à endoprothèse vasculaire au niveau de la veine cave supérieure et une seconde valvule à endoprothèse vasculaire au niveau de la veine cave inférieure, lesdites première et seconde valvules étant élaborées pour permettre l'écoulement sanguin vers l'oreillette droite du patient et empêcher l'écoulement sanguin dans une direction opposée.
