A method for repair and preventive maintenance of railroad ties by application of a polymer system to the surface of the rail seat. The polymer system is cured by irradiation with ultraviolet light to fully cure or partially cure the polymer. The polymer system may be used in conjunction with a tie pad that is capable of transmitting ultraviolet light to permit curing of the polymer.
L'invention concerne un procédé de réparation et de maintenance préventive de traverses de chemin de fer par application d'un système polymère à la surface du siège de rail. Le système polymère est durci par rayonnement avec une lumière ultraviolette pour durcir entièrement ou partiellement le polymère. Le système polymère peut être utilisé en conjonction avec une semelle de rail qui est capable de transmettre la lumière ultraviolette afin de permettre le durcissement du polymère.
